I'm ordering some snap on screwdrivers tomorrow and can't decide.

Take a vote on which ones you like better!

If a moderator wants to put a poll in this thread, that would be nice. I just realized I could do that but it won't let me edit in a poll now.

I'm partial to the hard handles but i've never owned a set of the soft Snap On's, only handled and used a few. A lot of people have made the comment that the soft handles are harder to keep clean though.

Car interiors or topside non-dirty stuff: soft grip. Everything else, especially anything involving oil, grease, brake fluid, coolant, mud... hard handle. In other words...

First set: hard handle. Second set: soft grip.
One set only? Hard handle.

hhhmmmm. I was thinking soft until now. I'm not really worried about cleanup though.

You will be if it's your only set and you use it under the hood and in the interior. You wouldn't be the first to set a soft grip on a seat before remembering that it's holding a fluid that you really don't want on upholstery or leather. :)

Thats exactly the reason I will only buy the hard handle. Easier to clean and keep clean. Not only that I've seen the soft handled screwdrivers (not snap on) fall apart after repeated exposure to solvent. Another reason I will not buy the soft handles.

I prefer the softs. Never have had much problems with them not cleaning up. Screwdriver duty is usually pretty clean anyway.

For the last couple years at work I've had a few old SO hard handles and a set of the "instinct" handles. The soft handles were horrible to keep clean and got beat to hell. The hard handles are more than 10 years old and still look great. Plus, I just prefer the way they feel.

As soon as the hard handles were re-released, I bought a set and sold the soft handles to a co-worker for cheap.

I ended up getting a new 7 piece old style hard handle set for much less than that of a 6 piece instinct style hard handle.
I can't wait to use them!
