Can anyone identify a possible age for this can. I found two full cans today at a pick and they are in similar condition which is pretty dang good. Thanks for any info.
Is there an address on the can? If so is there a zip code? That would be a clue as to when it was made as zip codes did not gain use until 1943 for large cities and 1963 for national coverage. Might be a starting point.
What's the SAE service rating?
If it's something like MS-DG alone you're looking at the '50s, the 'S' ratings came along in the mid-'60s, which 'S' ratings it carries can narrow down the era a little better...
