solar heat

[Rusty truck Garage]

New guy here and I am planing to build a new 45X30 garage in the next year or so. Does anyone use solar to heat there shops? Sounds like a great way to heat a radiant heat floor. I would also have oil or gas for backup at night or when there is no sun. Any ideas?

i'm working on a warehouse home,3500SF and we are heating the water with solar panels for our radiant heat.
its not done yet...

Have you considered wall mount solar air heaters?

Always thought about doing it but never have time. I've got an old 4'x4' air compressor radiator for the heat exchanger free this spring.

If you're going to the expense to install solar heat, you might be better served installing that on your home rather than your garage. That would give you a better payback for the expense.
