Solar Lighting on Gated Entrance

Also posted this to the General Forum, but quickly realized I should have placed it here.

Has anyone ever used any type of solar lighting on their gated entrance? I have to use solar because I do not have power at the gate. There are a running ton of options, but I'm not sure about durability, longevity, etc. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Gate gets plenty of sun, so I'm not concerned about the availability of sunlight. I don't need a ton of light down there, just something to light up the gate. I like the idea of the remote solar panel as well.

Am currently looking at something along these lines:

I have (4) solar lights I picked up from Costco around our horse corrals (no power there either). They work well enough for feeding at night and have lasted a couple of years now.

I've done this. How long these type of lights last - because they are LED - is typically limited by the number of battery cycles. So find one with a replaceable battery.

When I did this, I kinda rolled my own. 50-75 watt solar panel (due to partial shade), 12V deep cycle battery, solar charge controller with a low-voltage discharge limit. It was also used to power wifi cameras and the gate so I needed more power than typical LED lighting... I'd go through a battery every few years.

You remember which lights you used?

When you consider the costs of running power to a remote location and the benefits of installed lighting; Solar often pencils out as the logical choice.

I used some simple LED strings, with a resistor in them to tone them down a bit - largely to light the gate and entrance. I didn't do any spotlighting. Honestly, LEDs these days can last a long time - so take your pick that's 12V powered.
There are lots of 12V LED light solutions for the marine and RV industry - even some with bulbs, if you want to go that route.

My setup pulled much more power than what simple lighting will do - largely due to wifi, POE, 2 cameras, and running the gate arm.
