heres my problem
my 10+ year old solar autodarkening lense has stopped autodarkening :headscrat
i did some net searching last night, and according to the specs on the XELUX lens 2 year warranty, and up to a 10 year life span.

any advantage to battery or solar or both?

I really like the helmets that Lincoln Electric sell they fit good and are very comfortable

I'll agree I love my Vista 2000 and its just as good as a Speedglass 9100x or an Optrel Satellite, its also made in the US if that matters.

As far as battery versus solar i've used both and like the fact that I never have to worry about the solar helmet auto shutting down but i've never had a problem either way.
