solar or LED Lighting for garage/shed

Hello all.

I'm in need some input from the members here.

I have a shed that is away from the house and looking at putting solar/LED lights in it, as back up lighting when the power goes off.

Has anyone had trouble with any of these systems or can help with which ones are the best to use and the reasons why?

I know this is kinda frowned upon on this site, but Harbor Freight has a solar powered 4 watt florescent shop light for about $30. Doesn't look to be terribly bright but good enough for a small shop or emergencies and such.
