Hi I was looking to buy a solar powered charger that I would be using to charge my ipad. I keep mine in my car and I would not mind just leaving the solar panel on my dash and just running a wire and connecting it to the ipad when the battery is half way down.
I was looking on ebay and I found one for less then $8 shipped. The output is 6 volts and 3.5 watts. It is a solar panel with a box attached on the back to secure a wire with a female USB connector. So you just plug a regular usb charger into the port and connect the other end to the device.
I was just wondering if that is a good amount of voltage / wattage to charge the battery efficiently? Or would a charger with a higher wattage make the charging go quicker? I would assume anything higher then 6 volts could damage the ipad.
Any info would be much appreciated!
Below is the ebay link
