Solar Screens

I have been thinking about doing Solar Screens for some time now, and it's not so much for the thermal properties but more of a cosmetic thing.... Anyone done Solar Screens on your house/garage?

What are your thoughts?

Did you do them yourself or pay somone?

DIY is easy They're just like putting together normal screens. Personally I didn't like how dark it got but if you have a ton of light it's worth a go and it does make a difference in heat.

Living in Texas all my life, Solar Screens are a must for me! The house is much cooler in the summer, and you can leave the blinds / shades open to bring the light in the house.

Worth the time and effort if you ask me

I think my biggest decision is if I want to make them myself or pay for them.... It seems like it gets fairly expensive buying everything if you buy quality products.
