Does anyone have experience with old school solar welders? I have a old snap on that i was told was made by solar and it seems to work pretty well for me. I just have not seen solar mentioned once. are they out of business?

solar was a cheaper brand of century. AFAIK the are out of business.

I guess that makes up my mind to start looking for a higher quality welder after I'm done with school. thanks for the input

Buddy had one way back in the early 90s. That thing would lay a rabbit turd bead and that's about it. I then got a century and my century would weld circles around the solar. He ended up using my welder whenever he needed to.
