Soleus window ac units?

Never heard of this brand that Menards sells.

They are cheaper that GE and Frigidaire that are sold by others with double the warranty.

Any opinions?

I bought 2 8K BTU units this year. The wife doesn't think they cools as well as the 5 and 6K BTU units that I replaced. I haven't actually checked with a thermometer to see if it's cooler throughout the house but I do know, with all this rain, we are contending with a serious humidity problem this year.

Just bought a 24k for my 30x40 and it cools excellent. I'm not thrilled with the remote, but I really don't use it. Blows alot of cold air.

I have a 12k unit I think, it works fine in my garage.
