Any issues installing a solid core raised panel interior door for my garage man door? I have a spot for a 32" man door. The builder kept saying it was too small, I kept pointing that if I needed bigger there was double car door opening 18 inches away. It is on a east facing wall, minimal direct sun and minimal rain splash.

I have solid interior pocket doors between my climate controlled work area and the non-climate controlled storage area and the doors can do some warping in the winter time when it's 70+ in the work area and 30-40 in the storage area. I'd be concerned about how your swing door would fit in its hole year around. My pocket doors fit really loose and the warping only makes it drag a little, but a framed door may not close or open if it warps.

The biggest issue with using an “interior” door for the “exterior” is materials and glues. They are not compatible with the elements!

They are called "interior" and "exterior" for a reason and it's not just marketing. The interior solid core is most likely particle board. It should be an interesting experience once the weather gets a hold of that.

I don't know how new doors are made, I'm sure there are different levels.

With a real solid wood door the finish and the frame are really the only thing that determines interior/exterior.

It won’t last on the exterior. The skin will delaminate from the rain and the humidity. At work we occasionally have damaged slabs outside waiting to go in the dumpster and they delaminate after just a few rainy days.

your solid interior raised panel door will not last on an exterior application. a 32" metal or fiberglass exterior door & frame is made for the purpose. using a particle core interior door on the outside is a waste of effort IMO

If you want a pretty solid door, ask for a "Fire Rated" door.

You may probably have to go to a Builders Supply House or a "Full Service" Lumber Yard. Big box home stores are not a good place to shop for something like this.
