I want a scanner for home use. My dealer has a nice used solus pro, that he will install the latest software on, for $1500. Not a super deal, but it's like new. Is this going to be a good scanner for someone who has no scanner experience? Is the trouble shooter in it any good? I cant afford a new ultra, and want something more current than the 2500, but would like a snap on.

What are you going to be scanning at home if you have no scanner experience as you stated? If its just light side work pulling check engine lights then buy a cheap code reader and save the money

$1500 for a Solus Pro with the latest software is a smoking deal. I would sell that for $2500 on my truck with no problem at all.

The troubleshooter is awesome, at least thats what customers tell me.

I will just be working on my own stuff. I had trouble bleeding a abs on one of my cars, i have a evap code on my tahoe, I have a code puller, just want a nice scanner when i need it I guess.
