Solution for epoxy floor problem?

My garage was just professionally epoxied. Looked great but was slightly tacky after 5 days. Contractor called the product rep who said to put a clear layer of epoxy on top. That was done. Seemed to harden up properly. After a 7 day cure, I parked on it and the next day, when I pulled out, the area under each tire showed signs of the clear coming up. Talked to the contractor who reluctantly agreed to fix it by sanding down the whole floor and re-applying epoxy.

Questions:

Is this repair going to be as sound as the original job should have been?

I noticed that the other parking spots seem to be holding up. Would it be foolish to try to fix just the 4 small problem areas?

Thanks!

It needs to be sanded or ground down past the clear layer that did not cure properly. Yes, it would be foolish to just fix the 4 areas. If you park anywhere else it's going to do the same thing.

What Shea said... Not that it matters at this point but did they sand and solvent wipe the epoxy before doing the clear the first time. Thats a long time between coats.
