Solvent Sprayer - Sure Shot or Similar

Looking for something that can tolerate solvents. Found the Sure Shots and a knockoff at Grainers.

Anybody else know of anything else that can be used? HF used to carry something, but I can't find it on the website and people at the store are clueless.

Ideally something that can be pressurized or with a manual pull trigger. I would even consider a bottle with a fine tip....until I can justify the $ for a pressurized sprayer.

What's the sequence of least to most aggressive cleaner/solvent: paint thinner, mineral spirits, acetone, MEK, brake cleaner, choke/throtle body cleaner, electrical connection cleaner, engine degreaser, etc

I have a sure shot. It works great for pretty much any solvent.
Mine is made of brass so water based dolvents won't rust it. Only thing is you can't use ammonia containing products as it will eat the brass.

Got it for 2 bucks at a garage sale. it makes short work of cleaning up dirty equipment.

Sure Shots can handle most solvents, light lubricants etc. I have some rust inhibitor in mine, and the auto program I was in used them for lacquer thinners. You can find good deals on Ebay occasionally (that's where I got mine).

One more thing....the sure shot brand sprayers are fully rebuildable and some auto parts stores carry the parts. Not sure if the knockoffs are repairable or not.

I use a Sureshot for mineral spirits, never tried anything more aggressive for fear of what it would do to the seals. According to their website, the schrader valve core has a "Perfluroelastomer" seal which certainly sounds impressive.

I got my Sure Shot as a "hand me up" from my son. I want to use it for Brakekleen but, at least locally, I haven't found anyplace that has a gallon can for less than a gallons worth of regular Brakekleen spray cans.

Kind of a half-way price.

In terms of solvents and aggressiveness, from what I remember, MEK is nasty stuff, so I'd put that on the "aggressive" end of the spectrum, possibly the very end of it.

I have 2 sure shots. They are great. I have a chrome one and a painted one. Well, it was painted but solvent clean ate all the paint off fast. I have used all kinds of solvents in them. never had any problems with the chemicals in them other then the paint coming off. If you want it to look good get the chrome one.

I also have the Menards one and love it. I even bought a spare so when it is no longer available, I'm not stuck buying some overpriced one elsewhere.

Thanks guys on the can at Menards....I can do $10. Too bad we don't have any stores down here in TX. Shipping isn't too bad....$5 ish for two cans, however they also add a processing fee. So just over $28 for two delivered.
