Some Advice Re: Stink Pipe

So i have a 4" cast iron stink pipe sticking out of my roof. Every year birds manage to build a nest in there and then the toilets look for air. I'm sure you know the glug noise.

Mine is 4" CI also and I've never had an issue. But some hardware cloth would work fine.

That will work but hardware cloth is cheaper
