Got the hand router with hinge templates, a ratcheting brace and bit, and a kinda rusty hack saw. All but the saw will clean up pretty well for display pieces..a0961fbad1679a19ef2d104f40bf70a2.jpgab85dc9606efcfc10e4633733a46c62c.jpge91c71ae4ec019c66a8cbc3e59c329ce.jpg

I know that they are finely made and all but I just assumed hardly anyone uses things like these anymore because they are too slow. I wanted to frame them after the final cleaning and oiling for a display set of three frames showing the beauty and quality of older wood working tools for an office or something like that.

That's because nobody knows how, but they are not slow. The real skill is in the sharpening. I have shelf full of power routers, if I want to do some fine adjusting, say of a hinge pocket, I pull out the hand router. It seems when I use a chisel, flat is more by luck than skill.
