Some parts have the same simplified part number?

I have experienced this before with Briggs & Stratton parts and now with Husqvarna. The part has a long serial number, and online sellers list both the serial number and a simple number, Like HL180-56. I'll explain:

I'm looking for a bar for for a Husqvarna chain saw, part #530044508 stamped on the bar. Retailers list also #HL180-56 under that same #. When I search the internet for HL180-56, I find more results for a cheaper item part #531300445.
Why the different and cheaper item with the same #HL180-56?

Looks like the tip guard mounts on different sides of the bar, and the 445 appears to have a plastic pin for it too.

Ayuh,... If ya really wanta drive yerself crazy, Widen yer search,...

Google 16" replacement chainsaw bar,.....
Then at the sites found, narrow yer seach to yer saw's model #,.....

That open a whole new world of the saw bars available for yer saw,....
Lotsa quality aftermarket parts for chainsaws,....
'course, lota chinese junk out there too,...

One is for a 'low profile chain' (Lo-Pro Chain Saw Bar) and the other isn't.


low profile chain (also known as 3/8" Picco) is similar to standard 3/8" chain, but it has a shorter cutter profile and thinner chassis.
