I'm just about finished with the garage remodel. I found this site well into the project and didn't take too good of notes or photos along the way :( Here's a bass ackwards attempt to show my progress. Started out with a flat roof that always leaked. My son-in-law (used to build new homes) decided it was time for a peaked, gable end roof. All I did was provide the materials, food, and beer. That's me-the old, fat ugly one in the second picture. That's my son on the phone in the first photo.

Installed a new man door and window. Moved the light switch, used to be between the door and window. Installed an aluminum attic ladder. My old garage roof is now my attic floor. Can never have enough storage. Some of you will recognize those boxes stacked against the wall. Thanks to you fellas, I was able to get in on the Gladiator cabinets and the Craftsman 2 for 1 chairs.

I didn't get any pictures of the garage before the insulation and drywall went up, wish I would have. I just had to tear out some old insulation, there was nothing on the walls except some old random paneling and nails. A $hit load of nails in every 2x4. I could've built another garage with all the nails the former owner had in there. Installed a new steel rear man door. Added a sub-panel with a bunch of 110 outlets and three 220 outlets. Added three extra light sockets. The IH mill, the wall heaters and the Logan lathe all run on 220. I'm wiring the heaters with cords and plugs. I aquired the Logan after the electric and hadn't planned on an additional 220 machine. I'll have to unplug the one heater when I need to use the lathe. The bottom three pictures were taken today after I moved a bunch of stuff out into the driveway to start installing floor tiles. I hadn't seen some of this stuff in a while.

Here's one of the gratings I fabbed for the new small window in the second photo. And finally had the chance to start of my Garage Deck tile install from Big Floors. Ran out of tiles so I had to fill the garage back up until my next order of tiles arrives sometime this week. Been dealing with Kerry and Jennifer, they've been great. The Logan is back in her new corner with the South Bend shaper resting temporarily in front of her. I had the chance to install some of the shelf brackets with the top hanging tracks also. It was a busy day today. Now I get to sit down, rest my feet & back and have a couple of cold ones.
