I needed to get some new photos of the shop so I figured I'd post them up.

I'm a little bit different than most people here. I'm a custom knifemaker who works out of his garage.

Its amazing how much you can do with a one-car garage when you just start packing equipment into it. Space really becomes a premium and every cubic inch needs to be utilized.

I learned how to work metal by growing up in the family automotive shop. So it also means I like to wrench a bit when I get some freetime. Organizing the shop to allow a vehicle to be pulled in enough to work on it has been a priority.

Anyways I like seeing what others have done. It gives me ideas on how to maximize my space a bit better. Hopefully I can do the same for someone else.

Thanks guys. About the knives. I'm not here to sell stuff. I am way too busy. In fact I have not accepted new orders in over 2 years and still have about 2 more years worth of orders on my books. But FYI prices get close and alot of times exceed 1K for customers knives, all depending on what they want.

That knife up there is my Singularity model. The frames are 6al4v Titanium with my 'Hot Hammered' texture. Blade is CPM154. Pivots are stainless with titanium trim rings. Pocket clips are titanium on titanium standoffs. And the Backspacer is my 'Organic' finish titanium.

As far as USA... the stuff coming from my custom shop is 100% USA. Every part is machined by me in house from large plate or rod that is USA cert'd. Blades are ground 100% free hand (no jigs whatsoever) by me, and all heat treating and cryo is done in house too.

But on the flipside I do have a design licensed through a production knife company that is made overseas. So I'm a bit of the devil there, but most of us custom knifemaker's have to sell a bit of our soul to make ends meet. Its an unforgiving gig that's for sure.

Nice to see another knife maker posting here Todd! :)

I don't post here very often, but try to sneek in here and read reviews on products and get ideas for my new shop... it's total information overload if you're not careful!

The shop looks really nice! I've been thinking about getting one of those barrel blasters.

First the knives are beautiful. I am one who can appreciate those. The shop is amazing at the space with the equipment worked into it. I am in love with your mid century steel desk in the second photo. I can also appreciate those as I could have had all of them I wanted in the 70's and 80's since I was a "gubbermint supply type" (military).
Now of days those "battleship" desks and associated furniture bring bongo bucks when you can find one in as good as shape as yours is. Just mentioning you have a treasure there. Love your shop and work.

Yeah that desk was a tough find as they go for an insane amount of money. I couldn't believe it when I was looking for one.

I ended up scoring that one for free but I had to move it. It was in an older gentlemen's basement and I had to take it up two flights of stairs to get it out to the parking lot area. It was a pain.

As far as the barrel blaster goes. I'm pretty happy with it. I've been through about 3 different blast cabinets and so far this is the best one for the money.
