So this Saturday, I was loading up my truck to head over to a friends to put in a Rod Iron stair rain i built, I had my F150's back door open (its a 4 door) i needed to move some stuff so i sit my snap on hand box on my aluminum truck box on the back as i move stuff around. i had the rail all in and the welder so i closed up my door's hoped in and headed over got there unloaded the rail went to get my box.....OH ****!!!
Panic Panic Panic! "pause" Panic Panic Panic! some more!
Jump back in the Truck and start retracing my step looking for the red box, i drove around 6 times..no box all my snap on tools and the box GONE! I was almost crying and i was pissed, had to go to the shop get the tools from my shop box to put the rail in "kick some cans and plate steel around while i was there" put the rail in.
This was Saturday around 5pm, I came to terms that it sucked and would have to start over, then tonight at 6pm my old man calls and says i got you're box the women on the cross streets down the road found it and brought it in when she heard the sound of the tool chest hitting the asphalt. I have my name engraved in it..sadly like a dumb *** not my Phone number! She called every one with my last name in the phone book, finaly got my grandfather who called my old man who went and got it, He said he gave her 60$ for the effort she put into finding its owner.
Seems fare to me, saved me a lot more then that and its rare to find some one who would bring back a snap on box full of snap on tools they find on the side of the road these days!
So that along with passing my Block 3 welding exam today and writing my Red Seal Friday makes for a happy ending
