Re: fix cupped/warped wood
anyone have any fixes for warped wood.....I have 5 planks that were glued together but cupped....20 inches wide, 4' long
I don't remember if I mentioned it in this thread or one of the other pallet wood threads, but there is a ton of moisture in pallet wood, which is why it cupped. however you flatten it, drum sander, jointer, plane, etc. make sure it is thoroughly DRY before you stain or you'll have stain bleeding up through the wood (DAMHIKT!!)
btw, a decent hand plane will give it a bit of a distressed/old world hand planed look if that is what you are going for, and not an expert with a hand plane yet...
