Someone needs a new trailer

I guess they thought the trailer could handled the sudden dropping of a 1000 pounds from 6 feet and it would save them the 10 minutes of unloading the mulch by hand. They probably said "Hey, the trailer is rated for 1500 lbs, this only weighs 1000 lbs, so no problem...."

This is why I don't like landscaping trailers for anything that doesn't drive itself up the ramp.

It was lowes, he was wearing a red lowes vest. Also many of the lots in Florida are concrete because of the soil.
I worked for them and ran the garden center. First thing you ask is if the gate comes off. Most home built trailers do but pro built usually has the hinge pins welded opposite one another so they don't come off, then its a hand load.

Trailer owner likely saw the opportunity for a new trailer as that one was pretty rough.

That video made the rounds when I worked for them and became a "do not be an idiot and try this" unofficial training video. I had some guys that were wizzards with a forklift and others that never should of had a license, and yes you had to be "lowes certified" for each piece of equipment. Its like pulling teeth to find a driver if you need something loaded because nobody wants the responsibility and you don't get paid any more for it. They also drag you all over the store to load because most of the store does not have anybody certified to drive in their departments.

I used to work for one of the competitors. Our fork truck licensing process was a joke. Luckily, I had previous experience and had to actually show competence to get a license. I now work for a large factory driving a forklift everyday. I can pick up a quarter with the forks.
A few years ago, I ordered a new dishwasher from Lowes. When I went to pick it up, it took over 30 minutes to find someone with a fork truck license to get it down. I legit pulled out my factory license and asked if they just wanted me to get it down. Customer service lady laughed and asked me if I wanted a job. No, just a dishwasher.

Years ago at Lowes they were loading stuff from a forklift into a brand new truck. Tailgate down + forks not up high enough = crunched.

Why was the guy videoing the loading? That's not normal.

Ya, you gotta admit, it was slick move other than the trailer getting destroyed . I wonder if the operator had perfected the move loading dump trailers with lower gates.

Yeah the licence for the "order picker" as they call it is the last one that most get so people for that are pretty rare in the store especially in the evening. The store manager and assistants are really supposed to stay off the equipment and my old store manager had to argue with the district manager to keep his license. Guy was a worker first and would jump on a lift in a second.
