Home theater mac mini is up and working, GF is happy, I still have to setup the itunes library, looks like that will be a bit of a PITA.
On a great note I found out that my small load that went to the auction is going to get me about $1000. Very happy about that, I was thinking much less, more like $500, so today was a great day!

I am still wishing that I had brought more stuff over, but I didn't have help and my arm was really bad at that point. I have a large amount of stuff to list on ebay, so that should help as well. The one thing that I regret is not taking all the bins and electrical boxes over, the electrician that wanted them has been avoiding me and now I am stuck with them. I don't even care about the money, I just want the shelves back.
So this morning is typical, until I receive an email from the local compressor shop. A while back they thought they had another compressor like my big bad girl, I had all but forgotten about it as it has been a while since we talked about it. Well the email says that they won the bid for the work and that I will be able to pick up the old compressor, all I have to do is deal with "disposing" of it. Mind you this is a newer version, but the same duplex style and it is currently in use. I am glad I did not buy all my new parts yet!

The compressor is from a State run Veteran's facility, not sure what exactly it is used for, but they are replacing it. My contact says it is currently working and from the late 80s, they are replacing it because the tank is too old. He thinks it will be a good compressor, or at least parts. It is a tank, two pumps and two motors, not sure if it will come with any controllers or not. So lots of spare parts at a bare minimum.
I still have to be patient though, they think it will be a few weeks, the new compressor needs to be ordered first and then schedule the installation. The parts that I did order were a great deal, so I figure I can try the quick fix first and see what that gets me. Looks like it is about $400 in parts to rebuild each pump.
NICEGot almost nothing done today, kept having to deal with emergencies. Apparently my plan was flawed, at least tomorrow there should be no chance of business emergencies. I am planning on turning my phone to silent and shutting off my email so I can get some stuff done. I have to wait for one more phone call, then I can head home and hopefully take it easy. Hope you guys had a less stressful day than me.
It was nice today to walk into an office that was not a big mess. Now if I could only get the shop that way!
I am going to clear a path to the office and clear the stockroom aisles. Then tackle the first bay of the shop. I would like to have that fairly open so I can get to scrapping the old radio equipment, that will open things up a lot.
I have been bugging the guy that wanted to buy all the electrical boxes, so maybe he will be over this weekend. If I can get those out of the conex, then I will have a few more shelves to start organizing things out there.
I am also thinking of changing my main entrance area, the storage there is not what I want, I would rather have an area to hang coats and coveralls, maybe even a bench seat to swap shoes if needed. I figure thinking about it now will help me when I finally get to doing it, just not sure what is the best way, I know I don't like it the way it is at this point.

Spent a bit of time with the foam, trying to make it look nice, but man it takes a really sharp blade to make a nice cut. It is good enough for what I am doing, someday I would like to have professional foam cut out for several of my drawers. I have not figured out what I am doing with the rear section yet, so I decided not to cut any of the foam for now.

That is ok, I was asked to shampoo the carpet today, so we got all the stuff moved out of the room and got the cleaner out, it sprays but don't **** the water up, I opened it up. It seams that a big complex o-ring/seal has went bad, So I called my sister who lives just across the lawn from me to borrow hers, She was going to bring it right over, that was 30 min. ago.

some things you just have to admit to. Unless the guy is wearing a uniform. Then admit to nothing
dkmc, those are the plyworx pliers racks, I cut one in two pieces to make it fit where I wanted. They are more expensive, but they are thicker than the cheap ones. I think amazon sells them, but that particular one came from the Snap On dealer, I think it was $25 IIRC.

Last ones I saw they were like 30.00 each.
Amazon has some that are definitely thinner, but they can be as cheap as $15. I know some of the crafty guys on the forum have made them out of the wire shelving you can buy at home depot or lowes.

yes, I got some of the lighter weight ones a while back.
Yesterday I did a few things around the house, then I got a phone call from the guy that wanted to buy the electrical boxes. I met him at the shop, he took the electrical boxes and several of the leftover metal bins for the steel shelves. I was happy to have stuff gone, he is swapping labor for the stuff. So now I have a day's use of a licensed electrician for the house. I really need the help too, so it will be well worth the swap. He was interested in some other things as well, so I may be able to get another day out of him later for the shop.
I am not sure if the tower is being delivered today, but I got the crane out so it is ready to unload them. I would prefer it be today as tomorrow looks like it will be crappy.

Yesterday I brought a load of stuff to goodwill, this morning I started cleaning up my "extra" clothes. I dug into a couple of boxes of old computer parts, found a few eBay gems, recycled a bunch, and more for goodwill. I am eating lunch and then it is off to load up a few more things. The time is going by way too fast today, yesterday dragged on.
The tower is supposed to be here around 4, shouldn't take long to unload it, but it is Snap On day and I have an appointment at 5:45, so I have to leave around 5:15 tonight. With the bad weather, I should be able to do a bunch more sorting, but I have to be ready for a job on Wednesday, it may get pushed back to Thursday, but I can't count on that.
Hope you guys are productive!

This morning was great, there was a bit of snow on the ground, more of it coming down. I went to the scrap yard with Bev and unloaded all 1340 pounds of junk and got a whopping $44.87, I won't be making a living off scrap, this was all light iron, but all scrap prices are down pretty bad. I still have to get rid of the radio equipment and some more lead. I may hold back on some stuff and see if the prices go up. I really don't want to store it, but if I keep going the direction I am going, I may have more than enough space for it. The entire thought process of actually being able to store something without tripping over ten things to get to it is a truly awesome feeling. I will get some update pictures, the office is really clean and the stock room area is getting way better.

I have been running around like a headless chicken today, I am getting ready for a job tomorrow. I have gathered the tools, now I am loading the truck up. I wanted to post some pictures of what I did yesterday, this way I have a reference point when I get back to it.
This was what the office looked like when I walked in this morning, I got the corner shelves hung but nothing really on them.
I installed the wire baskets on the wall to hold some of my file supplies
The old photocopier is gone, now I need a bookcase or shelving for the space.
I cleaned up a bunch of the miscellaneous stuff from the walking area between the entry door and the office.
Had a bit of a mess, but I was packing up some stuff to ship out.
I still have lots of scrap, but this is the more valuable stuff.
I found more wire, must have stashed it up there last year and forgot about it.
This is definitely getting cleaner, there is a large area of space, you can see at least 100 square feet of concrete!

Well done all around. I can see a serious commitment to progress and a pattern of success in both the office and shop storage systems.
How's the new compressor fitting in? Are you still having success wih the MTW plan for plumbing airlines for removing water before use points? I ask since I followed the same design parameters for my own system.
