I just had to have one of these!
Don’t have any aluminum and I wouldn’t know how to weld it if I did. But I did have some 1 1/4” angles so I cut em up and went to work.
I used 3/4” ply (again because I had it) and man I really like this thing.

I really like your fab table, I can work off of a table that is not level, if I have to, but would rather be dipped in **** and rolled in fish hooks than work off of a table that is not flat.
