This is what I spent the day doing after going to the hospital for blood work and x rays this morning.

I had the front grille hanging up for a while now so I dug out some old head lights and wired them up. Got it running off a old 12 volt battery with a trickle charger hooked to it. It's amazing what one will do when bored. Got to find something for the grille area???????
I may do a little more to it and see about making like a spot light area in the garage when I need more light.
Does anybody else have such stuff they made something use ful out of. If so lets see what you got.

If you have some 1/2" conduit laying around, you could fashion your own "Tube Grill."
I don't have any pics, but in the back of my shop I have the back 20 inches or so of a '79 Honda Civic that belonged to a brother-in-law. Originally had the license plate light wired up as a night light so you could always see to get thru the garage at his house, the amber turn signals on each side to let you know you were close to your stop point, and the brake lights on each side to tell you when to stop.
The night light was wired into a transformer that ran low voltage lights on the stairway in the house controlled by a photo cell, and the T/S and Brake lights powered up by the O/H door opener light circuit via a Radio Shack transformer and "electric eye" units from RS.
Now it just hangs in the back corner of the shop.

That's pretty Cool!

I think I may build a shelf and hang it out in front of the grille and put some of my Diecast on it to spot light them.

I remember somewhere seeing a tool cabinet made out of the back end of a full size van, complete with bumper. It was cool. They cut about the back 1-1/2 foot either with a sawzall or maybe a plasma cutter. Have thought about this over the years but always have enough other projects to keep me going. I may have to research this again.
