I personally enjoy the completly non descriptive titles morons come up with.....like the "you gotta look" **** for a title.

Looks like this guy did that for the actual posting even!:lol_hitti

That might qualify for "best of Craigslist". If ads don't have pics, I usually skip right over them.

I see that **** all the time. Or the ads with the title of "Tools" then you click on it and it reads something like "all kinds of tools, email me for info" or "I'll text you pics."

Why not post the pics on the ad with a description, *******?! :wtf:

prob a person not selling nothing, bet he got fired and is having a million people call or text his boss about something that does not exist.

seen it before, i called someone about a bike and his voice mail said "i do not have a bike for sale, please stop calling and texting, thank you"

Some of them are for harvesting e-mail addresses or telephone numbers for marketing of questionable legality.

For example, if you're on the do-not-call list, but you call a telephone number, you've "established a relationship" with the recipient. If that recipient is a telemarketer, they can now call you, because the do-not-call list prohibits calling numbers for which there is no existing relationship with.

I get annoyed with all of the postings for Harbor Freight items that are close to, or above retail in price. I don't care if it's "new in the box", or if it's never been used, it's from friggin' Harbor Freight! They mail me 20% coupons for regular priced items, and the mail me tons of coupons that bring stuff down 1/3 or 1/2 of original price all of the time. Plus, I can return it it I bought it at the store and have a receipt.

In my opinion, nothing available at Harbor Freight should ever cost more than 50% of its retail price on CL. I include their membership club prices in this.

Sometimes I think the CL harbor freight posters are people with the membership, who buy something when it's steeply discounted in order to try to resell it.

When something is open for free use by the public, you get all kinds. See condition of public restrooms for an example.

Sometimes those posts lead to the best deals.

"Normal" people will read that and think "What a ******* *****!"

I think... "Hmmmmm... no sane person will be calling on that one. Time to swoop in and make a lowball offer."

Sort of like trolling eBay/CL for misspelled items.

There was a guy selling some micromaders on CL around here...

I've thought of that, tried to score on one of those, but always came up empty. For the times you will score, probably not worth all the effort for the ones you waste your time on.

I hate calling on CL ads because I have less and less hope for America talking to people.

"Too much to list."

"I paid $X for this!"

"These are worth $X but I'm selling for $Y."

"Serious inquiries only."

HAHAHA!

Side note: I NEVER see radial arm saws, especially Craftsman ones, on Craigslist. (end sarcasm)

Two I've seen locally, one started at $150 and sold for $35. Terrible item to sell at a yardsale, nobody brings that much cash or has the space.

LOL

The camera was in good working order. That's just a cloud of marijuana smoke.

My fave CL post lately: "impack wrench", the title read. Then I clicked to see a pic of said impact gun photographed, outdoors in very good lighting, but laying on the ground in dirt. Dry, dusty, fine grained dirt. Yeah... Craigslist... your source for misspelled tools lying in the dirt.

My other faves: people who can't spell the car they drive: Chevy Camero. Ford Explora. Really. Explora.

My number one is toolboxes that have "draws" instead of "drawers".

Seriously, have you never been to school?

The word "drawer" and its plural form "drawers" is very commonly used in the english language. I can't imagine that anyone who has read more than say, one or two books (hell, even a child's picture book) hasn't encountered the word in print with context.

Pfft. Been on the hunt for a good vise lately, found this "gem" of an ad on the local CL.

All it says is "Wilton vise. Call ______." No price, no nothing.

Here's the picture they put in the ad. It's been re-listed week after week, hard to believe nobody snatched this up. :lol_hitti

Seriously, this much rust in AZ makes you wonder. Good lord. :wtf:

I love reading craigslist posts, because you never know what kind of broken *** english you're going to read. sometimes there are things worth buying on craigslist, but most of the time just handicapped people trying to sell somthing.

I realize we are all having fun with this post but if they at least leave me a phone number or at least call me back then I have won half of the battle...

Still my fav's have to be the used items priced at double to triple of what new costs. The worst part is that people who don't know any better, and just assume because it's on CL that it's going to be a killer deal, will still buy it.

$140 chevy intake manifold for $375 anyone? http://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/2533018968.html

BTW, only "Interesting" people are allowed to buy it...
