i had to work an overnight last and got off at about 6am this morning. I was tired but decided to hit the flea market and i'm glad i did. first thing i bought was the craftsman tool box. it's rough but for 5 bucks i figured it will be good practice at totally restoring a box. next was a proto 36mm socket that i'm going to need to change the front bearing on my jeep for a 1.00. next i was walking by a table and saw a pile of snap on wrenches. I took a quick look and noticed they were metric and so i asked how much for all of them expecting a crazy number. when he said 30.00 i couldn't reach into my pocket fast enough. I paid the man and I think he saw my excitement because i then noticed he had about 5 1/2 drive metric snap on impact sockets and when asked how much those were he paused a long time and then said 50.00. I probably should have bought them but i passed. the wrenches are 22,21,20,19,18,17,16, and 14mm. along with an extra 18mm and 3/4. pretty awesome.
well the main reason i went to the flea market was because i was looking for a battery and charger for the milwaukee fuel impact i bought a few weeks ago. well one guy was asking 80.00 for a battery and a charger, which isn't a bad deal but then I found someone selling a complete fuel hammer drill kit (drill, charger, and 2 batteries) for 190.00. It was a rainy and pretty slow traffic wise so i talked him down to 160.00. I was very happy. its the version with the slim batteries but for my purposes at home thats good enough and I can always find the xc batteries later. I couldn't wait to get home and try them out. these drills are awesome. i'm even considering kicking out my snap on distributor wrenches out of my snap on cabinet and giving these that place of honor. over all not a bad day.
