I was using the chop saw last night and I had my 17mm bonney combo out to adjust the cut angle. Well I stood up and accidently stepped on my bonney and it slid across the rough concrete:mad: I yelled out a few choice words when I picked it up and saw the nice scratches on the chrome. My wife and daughter were outside and she laughed at me because I was mad about scratching my wrench. I just told here she didnt understand! Im not normally a tool polisher but I still get aggervated when I do something like that.

I think im the same. I don't mind scratches etc from use, but when I damage something through my lack of coordination I am annoyed at myself!

its a wrench, my wrenches work the same weather their scratched or not. Granted I don't like willing damaging my tools, but there comes a time when you just gotta get over the fact that its a tool. Their made to be scratched, that's why i never really wasted money investing in a 400 dollar set of full polished wrenches.

they do not like scratches on the kitchen table and we do not like our tools scratched up. if you scratch the wood table in the kitchen she might put that wrench in a place you would not like it.

I try not to scratch wrenches and I usually pick up old wrenches for rough work. Monday, I was backing my 4600 Ford tractor with my garden cultivator on the rear and a log chain attached to it. I ran over the chain with the wheel and it warped the plow frame bad. One side hits the dirt and the other side is two feet in the air. I'm still pissed at myself.
