I now happen to own two identical table saws...I just recently purchased a Dewalt DW745 brand new for $329 + tax (basically retail price but on sale in canada). Today one came up on kijiji for $125 and I got it for $120 (even number). It's in pretty good shape, nothing is broken, motor is in good working order but the height/miter adjustments are a bit stiff (which I can clean up and lube), the fence is smooth. I really didn't have a need for a second one, but at that price I couldn't say no.

So what to do with the second one? Give it to my Dad (who doesn't own a table saw) or should I just flip it and make some money? I can't ethically return the one I bought because it's been used a couple times now.

*sigh*

Give it to your Dad. (the old one, not the new one.)

Yeah, that's if he wants it...I'm not sure he'd actually ever use it and he's running out of space for his tools (he has quite the collection already). Although he did like the makita miter saw and dewalt drills I got him the last couple years for christmas :)

I just purchased the same saw after selling my full size Delta saw. I purchased it because of the fence, it's dead on all the time. I would fix up the old saw, sell it and get your Dad something nice.

Got it all cleaned up so the adjustments are working nicely now. Interestingly enough, the used one only goes to 16" on the fence whereas my new one does 20"....seems at some point Dewalt increased the capacity.

Still haven't decided on what to do with it, but gave my dad first dibs if he wants it, it's his (for free of course, I love my parents :) ).
