Sorry, I inadvertently reposted a bunch of old **** tonight. Page 1001 IS right next to the "Next" arrow and i was really bored so i commented on everything! My apologies. I'm the village idiot for the day.

I have this mystery screwdriver i've hauled around for years, anyone have any idea what it fits? All i can make out on the handle is "Prince" but there is something written after that. Not even close to a philips, it's way too wide at the tip.

I can't tell you what that is, but I am glad to hear the explanation for the Lazarus treatment on the antique threads. I was getting worried!

Prince Reed is what I recall them being called, but the info I found tonight calls them Reed & Prince...... I stole this off another website... I first learned about these back in the 1960's from my father..

Reed & Prince heads have been around a long time, then sometime in the early '80's they became Frearson heads though they were the same configuration. Don't throw that screwdriver away. Hard to find. If you look closely at the head, there's no relief cut into the cross at the center as do Phillips.

looks like an old deburing/chanfering tool for after you drill a hole and want to clean up the edge a bit
