Say next time you go for all that "FREE STUFF" I want to go with you... Nice score and yes you do ****!:thumbup::thumbup::bowdown:

That's just a 1/10th of what I picked up for free. I have 2 drawers full of screw drivers and nut drivers plus a bunch of sockets, wrenches and hammers.

Amazing what people will throw out.

Wizard is a collectible Made in USA brand marketed through Western Auto Supply primarily through the 50s. Not sure about about the slip/groove pliers, but most their ratchets / Sockets were produced by Duro - Indestro in Chicago, IL

I love our local metal recycler. I try to go there every week. I've picked up a lot of good tools and other stuff there.

The 16" Long Flat Blade, Wood Handle screwdriver is alive again and back to good working order. The shaft is straight and the flat tip is in excellent condition. It now takes its place among my vintage wood working tools. I'll leave the wood handle as is for now.

No big deal, just took a simple clean up with a Scotch-Brite pad soaked in Simple-Green as a lube to remove the rust and old paint marks followed up with hand polishing with Semi-Chrome polish.

Before and after pics.

The 2 Estwing hammers. Both were in the same condition as the first one.

The second hammer after just a quick run under the wire wheel and the rubber handle is starting to clean up also little after a rub down with Simple Green.

Once I get the metal polished and the handle cleaner, I'll spray on a coat of clear and it goes into carpentry tool box ready for use.
