I have a mess of various battery operated tools and chargers. As of now they are a complete mess with 120 powered chargers and other wires leading to the tool.

Does anyone have a system that would help sort out the tools, chargers, and wire in a compact manner?

Thanks!

In my garage on one wall I made wood shelves, about 48"x 6" x 3/4" lumber.
Below them is an outlet strip. The bottom shelf holds all the chargers, cords coiled up with a zip tie on them. Shelf above is for batteries, fully charged ones on one side, other needing charge other side.
Above that is row of tools.
It made it handy, simple, organized. I keep batteries charged ready to use. Across the room I can see as they're charged I put those either in the tool or charged battery area.

There are a bunch of nice tool chests that have internal plugs so you can put all your chargers and batteries in drawers.

Key is to pick a color and stick with it. I have an orange corded MultiMaster. I really wanted a cordless one. As a close second to orange cordless I really liked the red M18 oscillating tool. I bought yellow --because tool only and the batteries all fit. There's a couple red (hilti) tools I want too... I don't own them because I refuse to deal with multiple colors/brands.

It's like when you get married. You are stuck with a color/flavor/brand -for life. You can change but it'll be painful (to your wallet). Stick with one brand and it'll be a lot easier.

For maximum vanity you can wall-mount them. I just used large 3" nails on a piece of plywood.

Mounting the battery chargers to the wall or on something sturdy makes a HUGE difference. When the battery charger is mounted, you can put batteries on and off quickly with 1 hand.

I stuck with one brand. Was Cman 19.2, now Dewalt 20. Cman stuff went in the house for misc use, Dewalt if the go-to for heavy duty shop work.
