source for 1/16" wire rope and fittings?

Does anyone know where I would be able to obtain a few feet of 1/16" wire rope, and a ball end fitting? In fact, The other end of the wire rope takes a different style fitting (not pictured), so a source for other style fittings would be a big help..

Wel you can probably get the rope at McMaster but as for the fittings I would try www.fehrbros.com. If they don't have it they can at least tell you who might carry it

There was a guy on my local Craigslist selling a spool (or by the foot) of 1/16" stainless pretty cheap.
No fittings mentioned though.

You might be able to find a motorcycle cable that would do the job.........what are you putting on the other end??

Any Lowes or HD store has wire rope sold by the foot - I bought some 1/8" for a project over the weekend.

I don't know where you would get the ball end. I use the nicopress fittings and the little bags come with two fittings and two cylindrical stops in them.

The stops would work like your ball end, except for situations where you need the ability for the cable end to rotate slightly.

Thanks for all the replies. I was able to put together a temporary fix from Lowes, and I was also able to locate what looks like a for-real fix, for only $2.50:
