1 have a 1983 Beaver motorhome and the keys are lost. I have the VIN and title in my name plus the key number. It is an ‘83 Chevrolet 1 ton with a 454 gas engine. Locksmiths here are all mobile.
Changing a GM ignition cylinder, if necessary, is not a big deal either.

but don't you need a key that fits for the easy approach?
With that title and a valid registration and a valid driver's license, ALL with the same address showing, any GM dealership should be able to cut keys. If the locks are still the originals! If they've been changed, well, you will probably have to change them again.
