Have you contacted Baldor to find a distributor in your area?

Over the net, yes.....the local distributer is no longer in business, other one in VT is about 2 hrs away. I was hoping someone knew an online source before I called Baldor.

Last time I called Baldor they told me they only sell through thier local distributers, they were not set-up for sales to end users. FYI this was last year. I still need the part I was looking for because my closest DC is 1 hour away. I too would be interested in an online source.

Call the distributor that's 2 hrs away and ask them to order and ship to you. This is typically how it's done.

You're almost there - it is called a Tool Rest. Learned that in shop class 60 years ago. I am not familiar with Baldor, but any tool rest that fits, whether yours needs to wrap around the side of the wheel or just sit across the front of the wheel (grinding wheel, wire brush or polishing wheel) should fill-the-bill. Only other consideration should be the bolt(s) that holds the tool rest to the grinder. Happy hunting.

It's two parts, the bracket and the rest itself. They typically ship with hardware.

You can get a quote from Galco or use the MFG part numbers to enhance your both your search on the internet and your communication with the CSRs at various Baldor distributors.

For what it's worth, some jerk has the bracket for sale on eBay for $25.00 NOS.
