^^^I thought the one pictured in Grainger wasn't the one BMW was interested in, as I believe MSC has the same listed in their Big Book, and BMW didn't seem to think that was the one he wanted. Of course, maybe these are two different clamps entirely, and I need to get some sleep :dunno:

I think that he is looking for this style:

Correct. There are 2 different clamps technically - 2 different styles.

The one with the insert is better...and more expensive and more elusive. I'm gonna call Oetiker today, but I'm guessing I will be directed to another company that deals in mass quantities, of which I can't afford.

If all else fails, I will just have to bite the bullet and buy 100 of the regular ones (NO insert) from Grainger, etc.

If that's the case, that you just want a few, McMaster should be able to get you any quantity you want. At least they do that for me (commercial account) of hard to find products. I've had them track down all sorts of stuff. As you've got article no., and picture, you should give them a call. They might do it for individual accounts as well.

If they're for the BMW E34 (and perhaps other models), I'll order them if you get stuck as I'll need them eventually.

If you still want or need someone to go in on some, let me know. I could use some down the road.

Hi bmwpower,

My 2 wheels BMW uses the same oeitiker clamp for fuel hoses. Fuel hose is 8X13mm (BMW part# 16121180409) but the BMW parts catalogue specified clamp that is 2 size larger than what you have got.

For my bike, I need Oeitiker part # 15400037, 16.0RER, 13.1 – 15.3mm

Strange… :headscrat

Kind of reviving an old thread....just wanted to say I happened to buy some "Pinch Clamp Pliers" from McMaster, Item 6541K67, thinking they'd be some generic brand....turned out they were Knipex and only cost about $20! Go figure....these are my first pair of Knipex's, gotta say, they ARE pretty nice.
