I've been searching and looking and am struggling to find a reasonable source for metal liner panel. Menards has a great price but they are many many states away and to ship the ~3800 sq ft of material costs almost almost as much as the material itself ($1400 shipping???). I tried a local place but they are off the charts expensive. I'm in SE Virginia. Anyone out there know a good local source of at least one with reasonable shipping?

thanks!

Square foot or lineal foot? That is a cheap price for lineal foot. I have menards near me and they are around 1.77 per lineal foot for the dura panel.

You should be paying 1.75-2.00 a linear foot for just white liner.

1.75 is a pretty good deal. 2.00 would be a little high.

Do you have another big box store that sells it ? Would they price match Menard's price ?

When you mention local place, is that a small private company ?

It was a local distributer for http://www.mcelroymetal.com/ . Someone on the forum had used them for their build. Home Depot sells a similar item at +30% price compared to Menards. I doubt they'd price match since they aren't local but it doesn't hurt to ask right!

I'd take a copy of what you need printed off the Menard's ad. Go to HD and ask about price match. If you ask for it, they'll also give you 10%.

Like you mention, they aren't local so that may be a deal killer.

From HD's site
If any competitor tries, we'll beat their price by 10%. Guaranteed.*

*If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any local retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Excludes special orders, bid pricing, volume discounts, open-box merchandise, labor and installation, sales tax, rebate and free offers, typographical errors and online purchases. Online purchases are subject to price match only.

They may price match mcelroymetal if they are cheaper. Another thing to think about if you have an HD card, anything over $299, you get 6 months interest free. Might help you spread the cost out and make it more feasible.

Look around for an agricultural building supply company. We have a local building supply in Harrisonburg, VA that also builds pole buildings and they sell Fabral brand metal panels.
