Source for this Screw

So I've been searching for this fastener for a few hours. Beyond google, I've checked hafele, mcmaster, hardwarehut, fastenal, and a few others. I came up with nothing. Of course HD/lowes don't have it. I've found something slightly thicker that may work, but I'm not giving up on finding the real thing yet. It came out of a teak patio table that is about 10 years old.

The screw has a 15mm head, 4mm internal hex. The shank is 6mm diameter and the length behind the head is 80mm.

Anyone have a source? TIA

I jumped the gun on the original post but I've edited it to include the picture.

I take it it shows? Can you get a plain 6MM bolt and replace one somewhere that doesn't show and move the one you take out over?
Edit, oh a self tapper. Well same idea, replace one with a #10 or 12 screw and move the one you take out? Suspect that one is specialized/proprietary furniture screw of some sort.

I need a few of them because they're very soft and the heads stripped out when I disassembled the table. They are barely seen but in a deep hole that wouldn't fit a socket. I don't need it to be an internal hex, but it would have to be torx or philips or some other internal drive.

While not metric, i think this is the closest thing that you can get on McMaster.

That's a type f thread cutting screw. It has a machine screw thread. Not a good sub.

Op you should be able to find an inch sized sheet metal scrrw that's similar. Phillips will be way easier to find than internal hex drive. If you can't find a handful in a local hardware store sheet me a pm and I will see what I can come up with.

Could you install a threaded insert and replace your fastener with a screw with an appropriate machine thread. It would be better for repeated assembly and disassembly.

I have a teak out door table and it does require a few screws to remove so that it will fold up compactly for winter storage. It uses machine screws with inserts in the wood.

Thanks. I always try for a direct replacement first, if not I'll source something locally.
I had these in mind when I went to HD today. The ones they had were too long so I'll have to explore them a little more online.
That's promising, a little bigger than the original which might be ok. I have to look at the table closely before ordering those.

I love that idea, now the wheels are turning to make that happen. I took it apart for winter storage and I plan to do it again next year.

Take a look at HEADLOK screws at Home depot. They come in various lengths.

I doubt the table was engineered with a woodscrew that would allow repeated disassembly. I agree that you should explore replacing it with something like a threaded insert that would allow you to take the table apart for storage.

If you have a Rockler near you, I would suggest going there in person and inquire. They have a ton screws and stuff and if they don't happen to have exactly what you want, they most likely will have something that will work. I have never been disappointed by going to the Rockler store in Milwaukee and showing them what I needed.

I came pretty close. Socket Head (Allen Head) Self Tapping M6 x 60mm in black. A #12 x 3-1/4'' wood screw with a pan head would probably work, but they're impossible to find too.
