Source for Tool Drawers

Greetings,

I have a Telecommunications cabinet that I've stripped the inside that is quite nice and would make a great tool cabinet if I added drawers to it. I already have a huge Walterloo but you can never have enough storage.

I wanted to ask here if anyone knew of sources for pre-made drawers for something like this. I can adapt the drawers to the cabinet if I can find the right size.

Worse case I'll build a carcass with drawers from wood to fit in it but that's not my first choice.

Is it a 23" telco cabinet or a 19"?

If it's 19", look on ebay for rack mount drawers. You may be able to find some cheap.

I have a short 19" cabinet that I turned sideways. I mounted 1x2 strips across the rackmount holes and built some wooden drawers. I attached the drawer slides to the wood strips.

Thanks...good suggestion on what to search for. It looks like I have a 23" in rack mount. It's 23 inch between the rack mounting holes in the front. I might have to "adapt" the 19" if I can't find 23".

I think I'm out of luck. Mine is 23" and those drawers are very rare. I could as I said use 23" to 19" reducers which they sell or I could make but I'd loose alot of width.

I'm afraid I'm going to just have to break down and build drawers and get over my intimidation of building drawers and installing drawers slides...

The drawers I built are not very fancy, but they work. I built them from some scrap plywood and OSB I had lying around.

I bought the slides on eBay for cheap.

the Cman toolbox drawers are right about 23" wide
perhaps you could get a deal on a bent toolbox and salvage out the drawers
