Sources for wheel-lug style anti-theft nuts?

Have you ever seen nuts of this type in 8mm x 1.25 thread?

a run down of those parts:
999L2-AL000 Air Bag Anti-theft Bolt, Driver Side, M6, Kent-Moore J-42057 Master Key set
999M1-AD000 Air Bag Anti-theft Bolt, Passenger Side, M8, Kent-Moore J-44615 Master Key set
999W5-AQ000 Passenger Side Airbag Anti-Theft Nut P/N, M6, Kent-Moore J-42057 Master Key set

So are you asking are they wheel nuts or air bag nuts?

I'm unclear.

Most wheel bolts/nuts are usually M12 or M14 fine thread. I can't say I've ever seen them as small as M8.

M8 and M10's are very common interior nuts and bolts and are often SRS /sealt bolts and the like doing heavy duty service.

As far as vehicle interiors, a tamperproof nut/bolt like that would not suprise me.

For wheels, that's way too small a size.

More details are needed to understand what you are asking, at least to me.


As for thread size , break out your set of thread detectives.
Mfg's change bolts sizes and hdwre all the time.
There is no std. Just a range.

I'm looking for them in M8x1.25

From appearance, the Nissan ones are fine as-is, but the bolts themselves aren't needed which makes $11 for a couple nuts, not including key, a bit much.

Correct, I wasn't anticipating finding wheel lugs a) in M8 thread nor b) in non-conical face these days.

Call McGard. Some S2000 owners had custom sets made for seat bolts (because slashing the softtop was so easy and the seats bolt into just about any Honda).

Thanks rice. I think they were used for the same thing in Gm stuff, but regionally.

How about those security "wave" nuts? They seem to be semi-common and shouldn't be that expensive.

Still wondering if I can find the lug-tamper-proof style ones, but you've covered the bases on good stuff.
