Morning Everyone,

I'm looking into investing in some safety equipment off the back of the covid crisis. Was wondering if anyone had issues with supply and where they're sourcing masks and the like. Don't want to be taking anything from frontline healthcare workers, obviously!

Take care all!

Chris

"Medical grade" vs "Industrial grade" N95s are quite different. Medical grade respirators are also fluid resistant. If healthcare workers have to use industrial masks (due to lack of medical-grade), they will should also being using a full face shield to "protect" the mask. The medical-grade masks are preferred, naturally. If you were to buy an industrial grade respirator, it wouldn't be taking them away from HCWs.

Disposable gloves aren't necessary for everyone. (I've adjusted by considering bearing grease to be 'hand lotion'). But if you're after nitrile gloves, two weeks ago I was surprised see plenty (sale priced even) at NAPA.

Welcome to garage journal, nice to see another brick and mortar store fan.

Thanks so much for the welcome! This is the best forum on the internet. And yes - its really important to 'spend locally' whenever possible.
