South Bend shaper restore.

Hi, know this is an old thread but I am trying to remove the crossfeed screw on my southbend shaper and cant seem to get it out, dont want to break anything, wondering if someone here knows how its held in I have removed the nuts on the end looks like it should just slid eout but wont come out of the bushing.

Hi, know this is an old thread but I cant figure out how to remove the feed screw on the crosslide of my shaper, I have removed the nuts at the end of the shaft and it looks like it should just pull out but it wont come out of the bushing. hoping someone in this thread can help. thx
