Looking at this SB lathe I see 10-1/2" - 14" in the gear change box. I typed that into a YouTube search and 198G came up. How does this fit into the SB models?

Could be a 14 1/2". Just looking at that photo, unless he wants scrap price for it, I'd pass. Someone has chopped the legs on it and the lathe is sitting with most of the base cabinet in the air, based on what I can see in the photo. Big potential for having put a bow in the bed if it's really sitting that way.
My feelings are that if looks like it has been maltreated, it probably was.

I didn't catch the right-side leg resting on a cinder block, good eye and thank you.

According to this chart of model numbers 198G would be a 16/24" lathe (198) with a 10 foot bed (G). Based on the photo I don't believe that lathe is that large. With a 10 foot bed there should be an additional set of legs.
