SP Impact gun id

Google has been no help in identifying this vintage SP impact gun.
No identification at all on it except for the "SP".
Wondering if anyone knew the model Number, actual company name at time of manufacture, approximate year of manufacture, and if these were at all good and worth trying to rebuild.
Additionally does anyone know if this company made it's own or is this a "bought-in & branded" unit that would have common internals with another brand?

Thanks for reply RTM. I checked out those on the internet earlier but could not find a match for sure.
Also the logo with the protrusion midway up the P is not in either as far back as I searched.

Well, yeah, their current web page may not have that gun shown. You might need to dig into the tool's history via Google Books, or into their trademark history to see if anyone used the comic looking P, maybe see if any catalogs in the International Tool Catalog Library carried them, or they had their own catalog. So much work yet to be done, that you may have done, but didn't tell us about, or haven't done yet
