Has anyone had firsthand experience with SP Tools? I could not find any threads via the search function. Just curious if anyone regularly uses their tools (they have a US distributor SPtools-usa.com). Where is their stuff made? I could not find any COO information on their website. Thanks.

It looks like another Chinese Made Tool company and I’m sure they copied their name to trick customers from the real SP Tools(Schley Products) that produce specialty tools.

I would stick with better known brands like Astro, Sunex, or Gearwrench. Much better support.

It's either a division or licensing of SP Air. They only make power tools. I'm sure the hand tools are all Taiwan or China.

I have some stubby SP tools wrenches & a small electric SP screw driver. Hand tools from Taiwan, air tools Japan. They are a company similar to Tekton, GW, Teng, Carlyle where the tools are Taiwan and pretty decent. Socket sets and hand tools are upper-Taiwan stuff, I'd put them generally above say GW or Tekton similar to say Carlyle in the US.

I've seen them at SEMA and they're trying to get a You Tube foothold with channels like rust belt mechanic. As others have pointed out, they appear to be based in Australia with their tools made in Taiwan. Web site pricing seems on the high side to me though. :dunno:

Not too sure about this post, having owned & held many SP hand tools/power tools I would emphatically disagree with this statement & would happily own many of their tools over Sunnex or GW. But anyways..

Eh I don't get it. Could have a Sunex Master 1/2" deep, 1/2" shallow, Any extensions and adapters you want for the price of that 1/2" tray.

For $420 I'll take the 1/4 and 3/8 grey pneumatic duo-socket sets, plus my choice of 1/2" sockets.

Air tools, I'll buy Astro at less than half the price.

8 torx screwdrivers for $100... I could have 12 Wiha at $75.00

Won't be buying any

I have a 1/4 " impact air ratchet. .I bought it from Amazon.com . after using it a couple days, it just locked up.
I contacted Amazon. they immediately shipped me a replacement. they also paid the shipping to return the defective tool. Have been using the replacement tool daily for a year, it works great.

Put a few drips of air tool oil in it(up its ***---just a few drips--- EVERY time you get ready to use one.

Rather common and easily accessed over here in Australia, not bad, not great, pretty well on par with any other mid shelf tool shop stuff. Rather comparable to gearwrench and the likes. Coo is Taiwan I believe but don’t quote me.

Yes, I've heard of SP Tools from Australia. They are not the same as Schley Tools (SP Tools USA). I'm in the USA but I occasionally see a Australian V8 Supercar race on TV (I guess it's just Supercars now) and I would see SP Tools as a sponsor on some cars and I looked them up.
