spacing breaker out from wall

Is it ok to use grey PVC conduit as a spacer to get the outside meter main out far enough to clear the ribs on a metal building?
? Im going to put rivet nuts into the wall stud and use 5/16 bolts for anchoring it, i just need a clean way to space the box out.
I guess i could get some stainless from mcmaster also

Fill the ribs with something solid otherwise you will have nests.

Use Azec or some other plasticized decking to fill entirely behind enclosure.....rip to fit.
