I am working on it fellas... Essentially, I designed a spam filter a few months back that has worked remarkably well. However, seems as though they figured out my approach yet again and are able to get through. It's mostly Chinese spammers using Russian bot farms and VPNs... It might take me some time, but I will get them.

In the mean time, please report anything you see... even if you are confident it has already been reported.

No problem, Ryan... I'm up and on by 9 AM my time (12 midnite west coast time) when most y'all are snoozing (well some of y'all - there are some I know who keep vampire hours) so yeah, it's not a problem. It almost seems industrial or something - right around 4 PM China time... just in time for the swing ****, er, shift... Good luck - remember, it's a war out there...

It would appear that some of the spammers are now using English alphabet fonts instead of the Chinese/Japanese characters. I presume they are attempting to avoid being obvious. I wish for them an early CPU failure or a real job career.

This has got to be one of the most annoying things for you all…. Heck, I wake up several times a week now to 30 emails of new threads (I’m subscribed to one forum… but really reconsidering that now…).

I don’t understand the point, or why this forum is a target.

Hello Ryan & Admins,

Sounds like you are already aware of this, but just in case...for the last three weeks or so (or maybe longer?) I have had anywhere between 20 to 80+ email notifications in my Inbox every morning, generated by the Chinese spam bots you have described, of 'new messages' in my watched GJ forums.

It's nothing more than a minor inconvenience right now, as it's easy enough to pick out the spammo and delete it (Chinese characters and repetitive subject titles). It takes me about two minutes every morning, but I'm sure it is causing untold headaches on your end.

I'm more than happy to provide you with any information about these notifications, especially since I am mostly flat on my *** for the next six weeks with a broken foot!

Seriously, if there is anything we can do out here to assist, let us know.
