has anyone ever made spark plug boot removal tool, I am going to change the plugs in my 93 ranger 2.3 and some of the wires are hard to pull off

Any reason you want to make one as opposed to buying one? Not sure if you mean to ask what ones out there work?

My old KD set have served me well for what it's worth.

when I picked up the plugs today oriley's were out of plyers and the nearest other parts stors are 30 miles, and going to try to chang them tomorrow afternoon or sat. morning

Make sure you twist the boots to make sure the are broke loose. don't just pull streight off or you will break the wire.

These days when you change plugs you can just about count on needing wires. I have a set of plug wire pliers and seem to have better luck with the small long nosed vacuum hose pliers.

Agree. Especially on the firewall side of a transversly mounted v6. I have tried some of those plier looking boot tools but they never seem to work. Usually end up with a right angle pick and destroying the wire/boot.
