I was searching for a spark plug gap tool and found this by chance. Have
anybody used this before?

I can't seem to find metric spark plug wire gauges too. Something that can be used to adjust the tip as well. Please show what you tools you have for this.

Wow, didn't know they still made that spark plug cleaner; I used to use it in the mid 60's when I was too cheap to buy new spark plugs; for some reason plugs did not last very long after cleaning ...

No way would I pay 2cts for that or even consider using one.
With the difficulty of r&r'ing sparkplugs on most vehicles today; when the old ones come out, new ones go in.

Many driveability problems related today on sparkplugs to even consider reusing...

Ditto the senitment that there isn't really much of a need for them these days. I just replace em and move on.

Small engines and gas tractors with the big 7/8" plugs still justify a spark plug cleaner. You can clean them and be back running in 10 minutes.

I could see maybe on a 2 stroke engine that fouled plugs quite a bit with the low intensity old school ignitions but on the high energy ignitions on the newer cars; I think replacement is the best way to go.

I got one,and still use it!
Playing around w/ pos snowmobiles, bikes, etc,it comes in handy.
Bought it for work in the mid eighties, always moving cars in and out of the bodyshop,in the wintertime w/carbs,didn't take too long to foul plugs.
Boss had a 440 6 pack 'Cuda that had to come in every night, more times than I'd care to count I pulled the 4 easyest plugs in the cold, blasted them, and then reved the snot out of the car to get it inside!

If you use one please be sure to inspect each plug before reinstaling. Be sure to blast out every particle of the cleaning media with an air gun. I have seen plugs come out of a media cleaners with grit stuck deep in the space between the body and the center post. It will come loose and grind up the cylinder.

I picked up a similar one NIB at a lawn sale for $2.00. It had NEVER had the blasting media installed.

I've NEVER used it, personally. I change plugs when needed.

My neighbor, however, uses it quite regularly since he's always playing with Yard sale finds. He's offered to buy it from me, but I usually don't sell tools.

or, you could spend $1.40 and throw a new NGK in it and call it a day. I'll be damned if I clean a plug for that price.

When trying to get a car to run right, or moving old carbed cars short distances and stuff, it makes sense. My friend's 500SEC fouls plugs if it's only run for a minute, so we clean the plugs when it fouls them.

I don't clean them as a solution to replacing, but something it doesn't make sense to replace.

In that case, I have found taht a soft wire wheel on a bench grinder cleans plugs pretty well...

or probably when using expensive spark plugs, you just want to clean them for performance as they are not yet due for replacement.

none the less I think it's better to do it manually

As mentioned above this gadget would probably be ok if you clean a lot of plugs or ....... if you are in a hurry.

It's not very expensive so I'm going to try it, I just hope it doesn't mess the plugs.
