Have the 3" & 6" versions in both 5/8" & 13/16". Also have the no extension, swivel-only socket in 5/8". I love them.

I haven't. But apparently, if the spark plug hole isn't straight, that's the kind of spark plug socket you want to use so that the extension doesn't loosen off on you.
Do you use 5/8 more than 13/16s?
And dose the extension come lose ?or is it all one piece ?

All depends on what I'm working on.
I used to use the 13/16 far more than the 5/8, but those days seemed to have past. With replacing the cast iron camel hump heads with aluminum heads on my camaro, I am now using the 5/8 socket more now. I also use the 5/8 on my chainsaws. The 13/16 is pretty much garden tractor usage only.
And yes, it is a one piece design.

I have the Gearwrench version, It's magnetic, and quite handy. the extension is pinned to the socket like an impact swivel socket. it won't separate under normal use. I haven't used a 13/16 spark plug socket in decades, 5/8 & 9/16 get used a lot though.

I have sworn by the swivel short version since the 70's.
In my kit I have most of the versions offered except the ones with the built in extensions.
There is a long version extra deep S9720KA which I found worked real well when pulling plugs from outboard.

It’s a good design. I like the way the plug is fixed to the extension.
I have the Koken extended sockets, where extension and socket are all one piece, but I like the swivel feature of this design.

No. The GW version won't fit. I had one and gave it away for that exact reason.

Not snapon but I own one purchased from Autozone. Learned about it here on GJ to get rear plugs out of friends Toyota Avalon. It turned a difficult job using regular sockets and swivels into an easy and fast one. It's the only time I needed one but for under $15 it was a no brainer. This is one of those "better to have it than need it" tools.
Not that I have seen. I picked up one on amazon from ATD or something.
There are plenty thin walled spark plug sockets out there and they will prominently advertise in the title since there are applications that specifically require it. If it's not prominently mentioned you can assume it has a regular thickness wall.

I have had the 4 piece set for about 30 yrs now, they work great for some cars and some cars they won’t work at all. I own an array of spark plug sockets including ones you can put a wrench on the end.
